Developed the second generation Edith Cowan University CMS system. Added a fees and HESA module. A new interface
added so that handbook information is available online for students and they can calculate
their fees for each course.
Implemented security and created the status reporting facility for Edith Cowan
University's Course Management System CMS. This is a complex MS SQL Server database
with an web interface which allows ECU staff, of many different access levels, to
take a course or unit through the university's approval processes.
Recommended, designed and developed an off-the-shelf style publishing system
for use in an intranet environment. With client usability in mind the
application was designed to allow easy creation of web pages, page links
and publish documents without technical knowledge.
Designed and worked on a Western Metals user survey in Flash MX that generated
dynamic charts from survey results stored in a SQL Server database. The
application was created to display results as predefined charts but also
featured a customisable chart facility that created bar, pie or line charts
on the fly.
Devised and developed, with a colleague, an induction presentation for
Hamersley Iron using Flash MX and XML that allowed administrators of the
application to edit online. The resultant product reduced what was a
significantly large Powerpoint presentation to a Flash file able to be
delivered over the intranet.
Designed and developed many Hamersley Iron intranet sites including:
- HR Training
- Human Resources
- Business Unit Isolation Committee
- Information Resource Centre
- Marketing
- Office Services
- Hardware Order Form (developed only)
- Telecommunications
